A dead battery. A frozen watch. A corrupted file. And suddenly, after months of training, your race no longer exists.
At RecoverMyTrack, our mission is simple and powerful: to give you back what’s yours — your lost activity.
An idea born on ultra trails
First and foremost, we are ultra-trail enthusiasts at an amateur level. Like many others, we’ve crossed a finish line without a watch… and without a track.
At the finish of the Diagonale des Fous, we realized we were far from alone in this situation. Around us, many runners were experiencing the same frustration.
That’s when the idea was born: to create a platform allowing anyone to recreate or preserve their activity, even if their watch failed.
An algorithm designed to faithfully recreate your race
RecoverMyTrack is powered by a proprietary algorithm capable of recreating your activity as accurately as possible:
- Precise route mapping
- Consistent elevation data
- Realistic pace distribution
- Split breakdown aligned with the official event
We initially started by generating GPX files. But we wanted to go further.
Today, we generate binary .FIT files, similar to those produced by your watch.
This allows us to:
- Generate heart rate data
- Simulate power metrics
- Integrate your watch model
- Create a file fully compatible with Strava and Relive
The result? A fully usable activity — as if your watch had never failed.
Incredibly positive feedback
We have already received numerous requests, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Some users simply wanted to preserve a memory. Others needed their activity to publish on Strava or generate their Relive video.
Many told us it helped them “close the loop” after an important race.
A platform constantly evolving
We are still actively developing and continuously improving:
- The accuracy of our algorithm
- Performance and speed
- The number of legendary races available
If your race is not yet available on the platform, you can upload your own GPX file to recreate your activity from a partial track.
Our latest features
🔥 Fitness curve
You can now adjust your activity to reflect exactly what you experienced: fast start, tough patch, second wind… Your track becomes more personal and more realistic.
🏆 PR preview
Just like on Strava, you can preview your personal records directly from your recreated activity.
Our mission
Every race represents months of training, sacrifices, emotions, and a unique story.
When technology fails, the achievement remains real.
RecoverMyTrack exists to help you reclaim your greatest accomplishments. Because a lost track should never erase a real achievement.
